Our Story

There is a woman you should know about.

Her name was Stephanie Rochelle Ashmore-Jenkins. She was a pastor, a matriarch, a prayer warrior, and my grandmother. She helped raise me. She prayed over me. She loved me in the way that only a woman who truly knows God can love — fiercely, faithfully, and without condition.

I always prayed that God would keep her with me forever, because I genuinely didn't think my heart could survive losing her. On October 30, 2021, Heaven gained her. And I've been learning how to carry what she left behind ever since.

She was born on October 13, 1947. She went home on October 30, 2021. Both in October — the month of the marigold flower. The birth and death flower of that month. When I was searching for a name for this brand, I didn't have to look far. The marigold chose itself. This is her flower. This brand is her tribute.

Now let me tell you about the faith she passed down.

I grew up surrounded by pastors. Faith was never foreign to me — it was the air I breathed, the language of my family, the foundation of everything around me. But I didn't want to inherit someone else's faith. From a young age, I craved my own relationship with God. I sought Him for myself. And He showed up — in encounters I still carry with me today, in moments that can only be explained by His presence.

But faith as a child and faith as an adult are two different things.

As an adult, I learned what it really means to trust God. Not in the easy seasons — in the hard ones. When resources ran short. When options ran thin. When the impossible was made possible only by His grace. When all I had left was faith — and I had to decide if that was enough.

It is. It always has been.

This walk with God is not an overnight thing. It is a daily sacrifice. A daily returning. We fall — all of us do. But as long as you get back up, brush the dirt off, and stand firm in who you know Him to be, you have everything you need to keep going. To keep up the good fight. Because no matter what the world tells you — it is worth it to follow God.

That is why Marigold & Co. exists.

Not to sell you something. Not to perform faith for the highlight reel. But to walk alongside you — in the quiet moments, the hard seasons, and the ordinary ones in between. To give you practical tools for the daily walk. To remind you, on the Tuesday mornings when you're tired and still returning, that you are not alone in this.

Marigold is an ally. A support. A friend.

I am still learning. I am still returning. And I would love for you to walk this out with me — not alone, but together.

Welcome to Marigold & Co.
